    Johnnie Pulley Junior sentenced

About 6 weeks ago there was a thread on Johnnie Pulley Junior
I can't find the OT so here is a refresher

Jury finds man guilty of killing teenager
Jury finds man guilty of killing teenager
Authorities say the suspect claimed he had been on a bus several weeks before the shooting when he was assaulted by the teenager. Evidence showed Pulley eventually saw the teen again and followed him to the location where Pulley shouted at the victim and then shot him.
Pulley had a valid CCW and carried a .357 revolver.

Well, the he got sentenced the other day.

Johnnie Pulley Junior gets probation in fatal teen killing
A judge has taken the recommendation of a jury in suspending a 10 year prison terms and placing a north St Louis man on probation for killing a teenager last year
    ...
In court Thursday; Judge Wilson placed Pulley on supervised probation for a period of 5 years.
IMO Pulley should have received jail time. He was the aggressor and created the situation. A CCW does not give anyone the right to track down and kill a suspect after the threat has ended. This is the type of case that will be used against the second amendment. When these situations happen, people must be held accountable for their actions.

I don't think anyone who read the previous thread will be surprised he was convicted. Clearly a misuse and abuse of a CWP.

If all the facts are as stated he certainly belongs in jail.

Sounds like a revenge killing,It would have been a lot different if the teen had assaulted him again and he fired in self defense, but this is murder and possibly premeditated murder

I think what bothers me about this, is this is where are the gun control advocates? They certainly used this example of why people should not be allowed to carry guns, yet when it came time for Pulley to answer for his actions….
The jury convicted Pulley of second-degree murder, which carries a minimum sentence of 10 years, and the jury recommended that the judge put Pulley on probation.
and Pulley quietly fades into the sunset.....
Ban all guns, but who cares if you downgrade a 10 year minimum sentence to 5 years probation. This happens all the time. There is mass-outrage when gun violence occurs. Then no one is held accountable and nobody notices.

I would like to know what type of assault the teen did. Both links don't state what he did.

Where does it state he had a Cocealed Weapons Permit?
