Legal Defense - Has anyone had direct exp[erience with CHLPP or Armed Citizens Def ?

There are several "insurance" plans that cover defense of SD incidents. They vary by price and coverage. The NRA has a minimal reimbursement plan. CHLPP seems quite comprehensive and the Armed Citizens Self Defense Network provides referrals and initial help.

Has anyone actually had occasion to consult/use any of these programs? IF so, how did it go? Any thoughts regarding the coverage/help they offer?

I do not think many will give out that kind of information on a public forum. The third link you provided had some examples of CCW holders being defended. Good Luck in finding the answers you need.

I've been a member of the ACLDN since they started. I really like their "boots on the ground." No members have needed them - yet. Their board includes a lot of "heavy hitters" like Masaad Ayoob, et al. Nice people.

Harryball is correct ... I doubt many will respond with the specific info you desire. For what it is worth, I am a member of both.

I find it interesting that none of these organizations' web sites have a prominent copy of the actual contract that shows exactly what they cover and don't cover. Makes me very wary of them! I would never buy a 'pig in a poke'.

I am a member of CHLPP and everytime I have called regarding various questions I have had I talked directly to Rick Mackey(CEO) and not a recording. For example I asked him which law firm in my area would represent me if I needed them in an emergency, the answer to my question was returned within 24hrs. On their website it states complete converage up through Grand Jury acquittal(No Bill) or Indictment. If you are sued in Civil Court you are on your own meaning you will have to pay for your own legal counsel.
