    Proud of the wife...

Well the wife called me today and said the Sheriff's office had called, she had gone by the courthouse and picked up her CWP. It took about 30 days and now she is legal. I had gotten her a M&P 9c to carry and she is quite good with it. Now I feel much better knowing she can protect herself if I am not around. This is all good considering when we first met she was not very gun friendly.

Rightfully proud!! Congratulations to you both.

EDIT: So what took you from "not very gun friendly" to CPL owner?

I have always been very Pro gun, been carrying almost 20 years, hunted, whatever, always been a gun nut. The wife has just shown interest the last couple of years.

Congratulations to you both! I got my wife into CC almost the same way. Except my wife loved guns, and hunting, and the 2nd amendment before she ever met me. I just furthered the cause for the CC permit. Something she had always wanted to do. Nothing like your better half being the better part of you in my opinion. Your spouse (or life long companion) should always be on the same page as you......(or each other). We were made to find our soul mate, and become one. Blessed are those who have found what we have. I can only wish the best for others. You have a right to be proud! Tell her how much you love her this night for what she's accomplished, and for making you whole. Do something extra special for her tonight, and take her to the range this weekend for sure! My absolute best to you both!

Great news ! Congrats to both of you.

I'll never forget the first time my wife and I went shooting. She had never handled or shot a gun before. After we finished she said shooting the gun was great fun and gave her a feeling of being empowered. When you think about it "empowerment" is what it's all about. A woman who can defend herself is so cool.

    Watch out.

One thing I"ve seen with woman .... they act timid , shy about using / carrying, and doubtful they could actually shoot anyone if required. And, when SHTF , they draw down and drop the BG in a flash of a second. Seems when it counts, well..... I never want to be in their way .... they'll clear leather before I could.
