    63 days later...

...IT FINALLY GOT HERE!!!! I just had to share with you all the awesome excitement that flooded through me when I opened the mailbox today. The feeling that I can now legally carry to protect myself and my loved ones is very hard to describe but I'm sure you know what I mean. Now I've just got to strap on the old CW9 and do the WWW! Stay safe out there!

Congrats!!! I am really hoping that my Indiana permit doesn't take 63 days to get to me.

I totally understand the excitement, but 63 days is a long time -- that's too long.

Mine was exactly 8 days from the day I mailed the application to the day my permit came in the mail. Waiting 63 days would truly test my patience.

Oh, believe me, my patience was truly tried!! It was my Utah non resident permit and that seems to be the general wait time for those according to my CCW instructor. I am now happy to say that I have successfully completed my Wally World Walk and although I felt like everyon was zeroed in on my hip, it was basically a non-event. Bought a plunger, some cookies and some material to make my own "thunderwear" style holster (I'm a poor college student and I don't have the $$$ to buy one pre-made) all in all, a good experience.
