    Finaly....permit in hand-Iowa

    Well, after a long summer of waiting, I finally obtained my permit to carry today from my local sheriff.

    Started the app and interview process in late June, and finally got a seat in the required class on 9/4..and 10 days later, permit in hand.

    Have not exercised my right to carry yet....probably tomorrow evening, with the requisite Wal-Mart stroll

    Thank you for the invaluable insight on this board....I will continue to be a regular reader, and occasional poster.

    No restrictions, other than the obligatory alcohol consumption limits.

    Currently will be carrying an SR9, but am looking for something a bit smaller.

    Decisions, decisions :)

    Great news! I still have to deal with some BS restrictions until 1st of the year..

    If you're around the Cedar Falls/Waterloo area you should come check out an IDPA match, we run them the 4th Sunday of the month, details can be found in the link below.

    I am indeed in Cedar Falls. I would be very interested in an IDPA match......will check out your link.
