    failed to make someone

I was at my smoke shop yesturday, and we were talking at the counter when a customer walked up to purchase some cigars, as he walked away they said that guy isn't someone id mess with, he has a gun behind his back. They were all shocked that I hadn't noticed, I knew the guy was there, and I watched his hands like I always do, but is it bad that I didnt notice his weapon bulge?

Nope, you can't spot everyone who is carrying, especially if they are concealing well.

My wife cant even tell when I am carrying...but she knows that I am.

She asks me, "do you have it on"? sometimes, and she always gets my standard reply which is..."I'm here aint I" ?

Concealed is concealed. I've never seen anyone else carrying in our area. That doesn't mean that no one else does. Also doesn't mean I'm not observant. Just means that everyone around here that carries, conceals pretty well.

Unless he could shoot with his butt you were fine watching hands.

My answer to the clerks would be "Nobody is somebody to mess with anymore, a lot of upstanding citizens are getting permits to carry, you never know who might fight back."

In the smoke shops around here the clientele is of such a sort, that every seed you can plant to discourage illegal behavior is a good thing... I can buy smokes cheaper in a gas station than in one of those "smoker's outlet" type stores... and most of those stores around here have the type of clientele that loiter about... looking for marks?
    All that said....
    It could be worse.

I remember when my last new IWB holster came in the mail.....my GF asked me what it was for & when I told her she said "you can't do that, that's illegal".
Even though she knew I had my CHL, she never knew I was carrying a gun everytime we left the house, lol.....

How did they know he had a gun, was he open carrying?

    - Janq carries OC in a belt mounted holster, too

Does this guy routinely "mess with" people?
Might be time to find a new place to shop, this guy sounds like the type that might start something you really don't want to be mixed up in.

we had all been joking around about boxing each other and thats how the comment came about, my smoke shop is pretty old fashioned, no blunts, no detox stuff, not even the glass pipes that are so popular these days, just cigars, pipes, and pipe tobacco
