    Talking My CCW Anniversary

One year ago today I joined the ranks of legal concealed carriers. Thankfully after one year I have never had to shoot or draw my weapon, but I feel safer knowing that I have the ability to defend myself.

For this first year I have pocket carried an LCP every day and have become so accustomed to it I barely think about the inconvenience of carrying (comfort). But, over the weekend I traded in a Kel-Tec PF9 p.o.s. and got myself a Ruger SR9C and have begun IWB carrying it with my LCP as a backup. I had never really wanted to IWB carry, but after a few test runs I have found IWB to not really be that uncomfortable.

I want to say thanks to all the members of this very civilized and respectful forum for all of the knowledge and advice that I have gleaned from it. I promise to post pics of my new Ruger sooner than later.

And most importantly, stay safe and secure everyone.

    Thanks again.

Congrats. Is the proper gift something in lead?

Seriously though, I can share your enthusiasm. I am not quite at a year yet, and don't know the exact date of when I became a daily cc'er. I also started with the LCP and have worked into other things IWB just as you described.

Congrats on 1 safe year! I'll be there about 361 days. I type this with my LCP in my front pocket. You've got some nice Ruger choices.

I'd say that this celebration will require the purchase of an 'extra' new gun.
