    Concealed Carry Permit

I am currently in the state of New Hampshire and have my Concealed Permit. The paper they give you is not one easily kept in your pocket, so you are forced to fold it to keep it in your wallet. However the permits are good for 4 years and can they really expect you to keep a piece of paper folded and intact in your wallet for 4 years? So I have taken the liberty to shrink it into a business card sized laminated piece. Does anybody know if this is still except-able? Everything is still completely legible and nothing is altered.

I would call the issuing authority and ask them about it. Years ago, my state permit was over-sized for any normal/standard wallet and same as a fishing license here at the time (thick paper). I trimmed it down a little and had it laminated...then I had to trim the corners of the lamination to make it fit and was still oversize for my wallet. So I know what you're saying.

That's the way the Pa. card was years ago. I did laminate mine by folding in half and then doing the process of lamination.
They now issue a license size laminated card, and that is much better. Has your picture on it also.

I would be concerned that it is a copy of the permit and not the original as is often required.

I received my non resident NH permit a couple of months ago. It's the size of my drivers license and fit easily in my wallet.

Keep the original in your car, and the laminated copy in your wallet...but I would still call the issuing authority to be legal.OMO

Same with Tn. Our carry permits look just like a DL except its vertical.

As Ram Rod said, check with the issuing authority as to whether it is legal. Some states use a raised seal on document to authenicate them, a photo copy would not have the raised seal and not be legal.

I agree, check with the issuing authority before doing anything.

I just found out that in WA, it is completly legal to fold it in half to fit in a wallet, and then laminate the card. I just got off the phone w/ Pullman PD, and they said it's legal. It costs $1.68 to get it laminated at Kinko's.
