With the recent rash of burglaries on UK's campus, do you think students with gun permits should be allowed to carry guns on campus?

Voted. I doubt UK or any other school will change their policy, unless mandated by state law to do so.

I voted in the poll. Yes...I think that all college campuses allow CC for those permitted in the state where the college is located. I have some friends that have a daughter taking after hours classes on campus and they are deciding on what she could have at hand to defend herself after dark walking across campus. The idea of more campus security is nice, but it's just like the dial 911 scenario. Taser or pepper spray? To me...these are both deterrents. In a life or death battle, one can't really depend on either of those since a deterrent is not what will save you in the long run. CCW on college campuses across America should be allowed as far as I'm concerned, and we don't need to make it more difficult on students from out of state!

15 vote difference between yes/no (no is winning)

IMO, the poll is misleading....it asks if students should be allowed to carry. This sounds to the ignorant that any 18, 19, 20 y/o should be allowed to carry (since the age to legally CCW is 21, IIRC in KY).
