Question Moved out of state now back...

    Hi all, new here...

I have an Arizona CCW issued a couple years back, I moved out of Arizona for about two years. Now that I'm back in Arizona is my Arizona CCW still valid or will I have to reapply?

    Thanks...

I'd go look up the laws of AZ..I thought that as of 1 Jun or 1 Jul, a permit is not needed to CC or OC as long as you were not a prohibited person.

An AZ permit is only needed for travelling out of state in a state with reciprocity with AZ

I just recently emailed the state of Tennessee to ask the same question of them for my wife and I. We are currently living outside our home state and plan on returning soon. My TN HCP has over 3 years left before it expires. Now I am just waiting on a reply to my email.

Interesting. I'd think as soon as you moved out of state your permit was no longer valid. You were no longer a resident, so boom, permit is no longer valid. Wouldn't expect it to still be good. Sounds like a good question for the AZ Attorny General or whoever handles your CCW laws.

If you never contacted DPS with a change of address, and your ticket never expired, how would they know to invalidate it?

If you never took any action with AZ DPS when you moved away, then simply contact them now so they have your current address.

The permit did not expire and is valid as long as you are not a prohibited possessor. Regardless of where in the USA you live! Like gasmitty says,"Contact DPS and give them your new address".
