Colorado only has reciprocal agreements with state's RESIDENT permits. I don't know where you're from, but I'm supposing they also have no reciprocity with your home state permit (if you have it)?

Colorado is open carry in most places, problems solved.

My permits are non-resident permits as I am a member of the socialist state of NJ

Percentage of area wise, yes. percentage of population wise, not so much. I have not checked each cities laws but open carry is not a good idea in most major cities.
Denver Metro including the suburbs you are asking for a visit from the police. I know open carry is banned in Denver proper and Aurora, not sure about the rest.
The farther you get away from Denver the better it gets (Boulder being the exception).
Just IMO, IANAL

I am sure there is no Aurora ordinance prohibiting open carry; prove me wrong if you can, I like to be correct. The Aurora police department disapproves of open carry and there appears to be a tacit policy to verbally discourage the practice on encountering an open carrier, but they do not arrest.
Colorado formerly recognized either rez or nonrez reciprocal permits, but when the Democrats took over the state (governor, state senate, and state house) in 2008, recognition of nonrez permits was dropped.

I remember walking through Leadville, CO many years ago, long before I knew anything about guns, CC or OC. I saw a guy walking down the street with a gun on his hip and I said "Damn, I want to do that someday!"
Come on out. You still can (except Denver).I remember walking through Leadville, CO many years ago, long before I knew anything about guns, CC or OC. I saw a guy walking down the street with a gun on his hip and I said "Damn, I want to do that someday!"

The only thing the non-Denver cities can do is prohibit OC in specific places (i.e. parks, police office, city buildings, etc) not walking down the street or private property. In Castle Rock the Police Office, City building, and parks. They can not limit CCW at any of those places without permanent metal detectors.
We don't see a lot of OC right now in CO. I wish we did.
On hiatus.
Hit my limit for speculation, the sky is falling, and gun owners fighting amongst themselves.

Hickenlooper as Mayor of Denver threw in with Bloomberg's bunch of Mayors against the Tiahrt Ammendment. His winning the Governor's seat does indeed represent a beating for us.Originally Posted by ShadeAngel
