No it will take about two weeks after your appointment.

It will be faster if you go to the office versus the mail, but the background checks, etc. still need time to run thru.

I made an appointment at the new downtown Miami office, and had mine in my mailbox exactly 7 days after the appointment. Very impressive!

Way longer if you mail. Basically days vs. months.

    I agree to the above.

I called to make an appointment at a field office on 10/19/10.
    1st available appt was 10/27/10
    I scheduled for 10/28/10
Received my permit in the mail on 11/06/10.

The lady that helped me at the office said I would have it in 7-10 days. She said that it was much longer (months) had I done it by mail. Not to mention they fingerprint, photograph, notarize, etc. At the office. It's a no-brainer to go in to the office vs. mail in. They actually overnight your package to Tallahassee...they really waste no time.

Not exactly, but if you have all your paperwork completed with one visit...it'll be in the mail in 10-14 days...maybe sooner.

Apparently it's only taking about two weeks mailbox to mailbox nowadays via mail. They've caught up.

    ccw time

Just make sure you do the digital fingerprints. If you do the card, it will take a very long time!

No, but when I did mine, I had it in the mail five days later. I'd never mail it now. There is NO hassle in going in person, and a lot of things are easier.
