    Ten rules of a gunfight

I typed in the wrong URL and found this. It is rather.... interesting.

    TEN RULES OF A GUNFIGHT

    1. Bring a gun. If you're smart, you'll bring at least two.

    2. Anything worth shooting is worth shooting twice.

    3. Only hits count.

    4. If your shooting stance is good, you're probably not moving fast enough or using cover correctly.

    5. Keep shooting until the threat no longer exists; then stay sharp until somebody with a badge tells you to freeze.

    6. If you can choose what to bring to a gun fight, bring a long gun and a friend.

    7. In a relatively short time, nobody will remember the details of caliber, stance, or tactics. They will only remember who lived.

    8. If you are not shooting, you should be reloading or running.

    9. Accuracy is relative: most hits will be more dependent on "pucker factor" than on the skill of the shooter or the inherent accuracy of the gun.

    10. Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to beat you to death with it because it's empty.
A CCW is like a parachute; if you need one, and don't have one, you'll probably never need one again.

Actually there is only 1 rule to a gun fight.

    1. Do whatever is required to win!

    1 Don't
    2 Really, don't...
3 If you have to, cheat
4 Shoot the people you want to shoot from behind
    5 Shoot from behind cover
    6 Use shadow effectively
    7 Use light effectively
    8 Use sound effectively
    9 Have a way out
10 Know when to get out...

Those are my rules for a gunfight.

Bring your friends who have guns, it helps if those friends are a platoon of Marines.

And there are no rules in gunfights, only survivors.

I was a fan of the 3 rules
    rules
    1. bring a gun. Make it a big gun, actually bring your friends who have guns, and their biggest guns. 16" guns from a battleship sure make you feel better when they are on your side.
    2. dont bring a knife, refer to rule #1
    3. A handgun is a great tool, and if properly used will let you get back to where you left your long gun. You did bring a long gun right? How about your friends?

+100 That has to be the most important rule.

I thought the first rule of a gunfight was-Don't be there.

LIke someone said, "I don't mind dying. I just don't want to be there when it happens."
