Georgia CWP ?
I have a SC CWP and am going to work in GA for about 4-5 months. I have been trying to research the GA laws, but can't find anything about getting a non residence CWP or even if they offer it.
Any help?
By the way, GA does not have reciprocity with SC.

Georgia doesn't issue non-resident permits. You have to get a Pennsylvania or other honored state's non-resident permit. I'm in Georgia and my only option to carry in South Carolina is to buy property.

Your fastest option would be to get a PA non-resident permit from Centre County, PA. I have heard that it takes only 2 weeks. Utah and NH will also work (that's what I have), but they take longer, and Utah requires you to take a class by their certified instructors (there are certified Utah instructors in SC).

I'm thinking I read somewhere that PA is requiring people to show up in person to apply for permits now. Can anyone verify this?
You can also try New Hampshire. Theirs cost a bit more and is only 4 years, but they issue non-resident and GA honors them.

The Florida permit will let you carry in Georgia. Its good in 35 states. Combined with the SC permit, most of the USA is covered.
It usually takes 2 weeks to get.

I got the NH non-res back when it was dirt cheap but since they went up I will be getting FL non-res when it's time to renew.

Georgiapacking.org is a great resource and online community for researching Georgia's gun laws.
