I've hunted all my life and still do but the only animal I cannot bring myself to shoot is a coyote. reminds me to much of my dog.
Hunting black bear and moose up here in October-November though is a blast!
I was at the outdoor range yesterday playing with my new CZ and there were bobcat prints all over the place in the snow. They have made a huge come back up here in the last few years.
Vermont does not issue Permit/Licenses to Carry a Concealed firearm. Vermont allows anyone
who can legally own a firearm to carry it concealed without a permit of any kind.

We had a coyote get into our back yard we have 2.5 acres but have a small (100x100) yard for the dogs to go out in.
Between the 2 english mastiffs and the shepherd mix there wasnt much left to pick up, I honestly belive it saw my wifes 10 pound shnorkie (yorkie and snauzer sp?) and didnt relize that there was 500 pounds of dog around the corner of the house.
I would of liked to see him jump the 6ft chainlink fence i have a healthy respect for animals abbilities it is rather impresive to watch.

The farmer a couple hundred yards from me now has sheep in his lot. That probably explains why the coyote is hanging around. I told the neighbor across the street and I asked her if they keep dog food outside for their dog and she said yes. That could also be drawing various animals.

Guns are like sex and air...its no big deal until YOU can't get any.

They're pretty thick here too. . . I should check with the ranchers and see if they're doing a bounty. It's been a while since I've hunted any coyotes

My friend has property in Virginia (Suffold area) and N.C. (Williamston area). The Va property had some rattlers but were killed off by a neighbor. We were transferring some of his stuff from Va to the N.C. property last summer. We turned into the driveway . At that time, a large Black Bear came out of the woods on the other side of the road, crossed the hiway and into my friends woods, not 50' from where we were. I went for my gun and my buddy went for his camera. The bear was long gone.
Next time out there, I brought a 12 ga with deer slugs.
