Will New PA Law Hinder Home or Other State Renewals?
As most of you know our friend in Centre County PA will not be able to issue out of state residents permits via mail soon. My question is this, when one goes to renew another permit and you don't list the PA (most states ask what other jurisdictions you hold a permit in) will that issuing authority question why you don't have the PA permit any more? I just thought of this after I sent in the renewal for my ND permit. My PA doesn't expire until 2014 but it is something to be prepared for when the time comes. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Don't most apps also ask if you've ever had a permit denied, suspended or revoked? As long as you answer NO to that question they will probably just think it expired and you didn't renew.

I would not worry about it. Permits are only valid for a limited time period. After that time period, you are not "required" to renew, so just because you don't have the permit any longer, doesn't mean you've "lost it" because of any wrong doing.

I don't think the person looking at your app...is going to compare it to the last one...

Probably true if they are processed by hand. If it is done by a machine you can bet that everything will be looked at. It may not be looked at today but be assured it will be in the future.

IF asked tell the truth. It expired.
A 9mm might expand but a .45 will never shrink enough to fit 17 in the magazine.

Exactly. They see your state of residence and the state the you no longer have. Been there and done that and it's nothing since I let it expire.
