Did the Wally World Walk today.

Yeah, I've had my permit for a while but I don't go to Walmart much and hadn't in a very long while. I was looking for Sharpie paint pens and thought it would be a good place to check out. Going back in there I remember why I don't go there often!

Anyway, it was a non event as always. The store was busy. No one noticed. The evil gun didn't go off by itself. Store security didn't approach me. Women and children didn't run out of the store screaming. LE didn't respond to a MWAG call. The greeter and checker were pleasant and wished me a good day.

Congrats on your first Wally World Walk! Sharpie pens? Did you even go to sporting goods and check out ammo prices and availability? That's almost a requirement now since WM and nachos are a thing of the past. If you went there on a specific mission, you've got to go back when you have no mission and just walk around for the fun of it. Just my opinion.

Thats probably because I only had my SIG with me, not my Illudium PU 36 Explosive Space Modulator.

Not to worry, I did some wandering and did stop at the sporting goods enough though I knew this store has the worse sporting good section hoping maybe they changed. The only guns there are airsoft and there isn't any real ammo to be bought. Home Depot next door has a better selection of "guns."

Accept my heart felt sympathies to you and with Wal Marts in NY in general. I live in WM homeland territory. Any time you have a bone to pick with WM, just drop an email through the corporate office. I'll almost guarantee a response within 24 hours, and action taken locally within the same week. You can make a difference instead of being dissatisfied with the current offerings. I've made an impact myself plenty of times. Corporate always holds the local managers accountable for customer satisfaction. I've seen things in motion myself. The consumer still has a voice, and it's always well received with WM. Such has been my experience.

Actually, surprisingly, this WalMart was in CT (I live right on the border and do most of my shopping in CT). Maybe I'll shoot them an email and inquire why this store has a sparse sporting good section.

If you lived around here I would say your post is nothing more than a fictional story! When I go to wally world, I am lucky to even get noticed by the greater. Sometimes they are looking at coupon mags, their phone, or just staring off blindly - I don't remember the last time I even had a wal-mart greeter look at me and even give me a nod to acknowledge I was even there!

Anyways, I could rant more about walmart and their service, and how their prices aren't even the lowest anymore, etc. but I don't want to hijack.

Glad the wally walk went ok, I too agree that there were better sports sections. I found one walmart a little bit further away that actually stocks a few shotguns and bolt actions, they generally have some common handgun ammo in stock as well. I remember the days when walmart actually had a gun counter with handguns & longguns both. and you could buy live bait for fishing.

The WM I moonlight at has a pretty good Sporting Goods section, and an ammo case that rivals some so called sporting goods STORES. But no guns, other than BB, air soft and paint ball.

OP: from your post I get the impression you were OC, am I reading this correctly?

Doing the Wally World Walk isn't just a right a passage. It's for your own safety that you pack heat there. Some strange characters shop there. Excluding us of course.

I was checking out the Walmart ammo case here and noticed that they even had some SD handgun ammo!
They always seem to have a lot of 223 ammo. Are there really that many EBR's out there or is it the same stuff thats been sitting there for two years?
Anyways, they had some Winchester bonded PDX in 380 and 38 Special +P. They even had some Tula Ammo, Ithink that's the first time I noticed that here also.
