    Still Waiting

    Mailed - 12/23
    Application Received - 12/26
    Check Cleared - 1/2

Online Status Check today - still no change I thought using the SO with electronic scanned fingerprints to FDLE would speed things up.

Message the same - does just change from below to issued or does the message change when they actually start reviewing the application paperwork?

We sincerely regret the long delay in processing time. We are receiving record numbers of applications for new concealed weapon licenses, and this high demand is affecting our application processing time

Seems strange you can buy a weapon and have in you hands in 3 business days but wait weeks to have an application processed for a CCW.

So much for First In First Out. Hopefully I'm at the least in a stack of applications they're working now. 8 weeks today since they acknowledged receipt.

I went to manatee county sherrifs office. Live-scan was down so I had to do regular fingerprints.
They gave me a signed paper saying its all they had and due to poor ridge detail hey got the highest quality possible.

Is this going to slow it down? The prints looked pretty good. I could see 98% of the ridge detail.

So I thought I'd throw my hat in the ring

I'll update as I find out the skinny ... Can't wait!!!!
I traded a guy my shimano Calcutta and a temple fork fly rod for a S&W model 36 3 inch barrel with custom grips & 90%blueing. Fires very well, I'm getting deadly in single action, not so much in double!

Also ordered a holster from black hills leather.

Should a FL resident expect the turnaround time to be faster going in person with an appointment and get everything done at once than mailing the documents in?

Yes, it is much faster once you get an appointment. Last I heard, appointments weren't available for about 3 months out. So call around, find out what's available, if it's too long, just mail it in and wait it out.
