My son's birthday is today. I asked him what he wanted and he just didn't know.
Well, I pick him up to have a family meal out to celebrate and as I arrive, he comes up to me and says, "I know what I want for my birthday".
"And what would that be?"
"My concealed carry permit".
Ya, today he turned 21.
And after I said OK, he added, "Oh, of course, I will need a gun to conceal."
Preparing for the Zombie Apocalypse or Rapture....whichever comes first.

Great Son, proud Papa! Congrats to both!
"He went on two legs, wore clothes and was a human being, but nevertheless he was in reality a wolf of the Steppes. He had learned a good deal . . . and was a fairly clever fellow. What he had not learned, however, was this: to find contentment in himself and his own life. The cause of this apparently was that at the bottom of his heart he knew all the time (or thought he knew) that he was in reality not a man, but a wolf of the Steppes."

Happy times trip to the gun store, don't forget to work that Birthday in there for a free box of ammo or maybe leave Uncle Sam out of it. Congrats

Which was the son's real intent all along. You know how it goes - "Dad, now that I have the permit, I need a new gun to go with it".
