DC: 14 dead in 13 days!
Gun control's finest hour. Will anyone get the message from this quote from D.C. police Lt. Robert Glover of the violent crimes unit?
"...the city's killers are using more guns, firing more rounds and leaving behind crime scenes that often stretch for blocks."

Oh, God, don't get me started about D.C., stupidity and irony.
LET THE GOOD GUYS SHOOT BACK.
End of problem.

unfortunately the powers that be will most likely not be persuaded to get rid of the insane gun restrictions there

If loose gun laws are good for criminals why do criminals support gun control?

It's very hard to darn near impossible for me to feel sorry for the people of D.C. They have elected their officials and in some cases re-elected the real bad ones.
The citizens have been lead like sheep to the slaughter.
I would like to go back to The Wall again but sadly.........will not. -------

Wow, the wonderous utopia of gun control.............

It's been said that the only people who suffer are the people that should be able to defend themselves. One day, before every law abiding citizen is forced into being a recluse the idiots in the D.istrict of C.riminals will get a clue.
It comes a time in your life when you run across someone you should have never @#$$% with. Allow me to introduce myself!

This is the sign they SHOULD be posting
my favorite quote from the Post article
"I wish we could just wave a magic wand and say, 'Stop killing each other,' " Glover said.

So do the math....1 per day...assuming a 30% attrition rate due to natural causes, and a birth rate of zero (net of growth) that means in 1,000 years WDC will be empty. (Al Gore style math.....) So.....
Does anyone really care?
Excuse me....you've mistakenly confused me with someone that gives a damn.....

I was offered a position within my company to go to Beltsville, MD to work in relation with our federal customers, turned it down raise and all. Too much traffic, too much crime, and WAY TOO MANY POLITICIANS. The wife and I are thinking of trying to relocate to Wisconsin (her home) and I don't think I'll do it untill they finally get the darn bill passed by that anti governor.
There is actually a decent article in the current edition of Gun List covering the 2 latest state to adopt CCW, Nebraska, and Oklahoma, and made refrences to the "may issue" states and the fact that Wisconsin and Illinois are now the only 2 states that have no CCW.
HI. might as well it's "may issue" but might as well be listed as forbidden.

I could rant but won't, not enough energy! - but see this from NRA today -
Call To Arms
When it comes to combating our crime epidemic, the nation`s capital might learn something from the state of Florida, where it`s just been reported that the crime rate has dropped for the 14th straight year, to its lowest mark since 1971.

Gun control is working just fine. None of the victims have GUNS, fine for the Criminals!

Probably the majority of it. But to publicize that fact would probably impede D.C. from getting more federal dollars to rein in the "shooting spree"
