How long was your wait in CT?
Yes! My out-of-state CCW for Connecticut just arrived (I'm NYS resident) - fancy plastic card too; the one from PA is paper. On the other hand, the CT took 8 weeks + 3 days, and for PA I mailed the forms and money on Monday and had the permit by Friday!
What have you guys seen for the wait in CT?

Residents have to get a local permit from their town that can take 8-10 weeks. Then another 2 for the state. The local permit varies widely by the town. Mine took 10 weeks. My wife's took 9 weeks. One of my friends only had to wait 2 weeks and he lives in the same town as me. A co-worker lived in Hartford and it took him 16 weeks, which is much longer than the 10 that they're allowed to take, but there wasn't much he could do about it.

Yow. So it varies pretty wildly. I guess I did OK.
My resident permit for NYS was pretty typical - 6 months almost on the dot. Everybody's seem to go that way here.
Sure is nice to be able to carry to and from work, now, and buy ammo at WallyWorld in CT, etc.

Actually, they are only allowed 8 weeks.
