Jury went crazy....

Wow, they shouldn't have taken his booth
I didn't know one could have their own booth at Denny's. Next time I'm there I'll claim mine.
Denny's needs a better attorney.
they should have had a no guns sign. that would have stopped it
I wonder what "steps" they were supposed to have taken?
Ridiculous. It's sad what happened, but Denny's shouldn't be held responsible for a random act of violence. They can't post SWAT teams in every Denny's to make sure people can eat a drunken meal at 2:00am.
I think thats a lil over the top myself. So if im sitting at Denny's and someone walks in and shoots me it's Denny's fault? Wow is all I can say......
Like someone replied to the article, The only thing they could have done is not be open at 2AM.
But then they would have been sued because they infringed upon someones right to get drunk and eat pancakes at 2AM.
Everyone on the jury should be taken out behind the barn and be slapped until they get some common sense.
Just like the jury that awarded millions to a woman who stuck a hot cup of coffee from McDonald's between her legs while driving and spilled it. Then sues them for not warning her it was hot enough to cause burn. This is a major company, they have deep pockets. Let's stick it to them.
I used to think the same way about the McDonald's suit, but then I read about the case and found out they served coffee in excess of 200 degrees, or practically boiling. The lady dropped the cup trying to put it somewhere to stop it from burning her fingers and she ended up with 3rd degree burns.
The Denny's lawsuit is typical King County bleeding heart, anti-gun, anti-business sentiment gone too far. Lots of Denny's don't even have locks for their doors since they're always open.
Boy - It's always someone else's fault isn't it. How bout we get the shooter to cover the damages? That, in a nutshell, is the biggest problem in this entire country - lack of personal responsibility. I'm surprised the "fat police" haven't shut Denny's down for serving food at a unhealthy hour - everyone knows it's not good to eat right before bed!
It is always the fault of the person or company with the most money or the best insurance!
