Pizza delivery man arrested for defending himself

In a not so good neighborhood of Milwaukee this weekend a pizza delivery man was taken into custody for shooting two teenage boys that tried to rob him at gunpoint while making a delivery. Both boys had handguns that later turned out to be BB guns. The boys injuries are not life threatening. The delivery man pulled a concealed handgun
    in self defence.

Remember, Wisconsin doesn't have a concealed carry law.
What's a guy or gal to do? Carry illegally for protection and pay a fine if caught or allow yourself, family and friends to be put in harms way?

Move out of Wisconsin, only thing you can do if you want to carry legally.... Sounds like a legitimate shoot though. I've never been a food delivery guy, but if I ever was I would definitely carry on the job.

As for the whole BB gun thing, theres been a lot of discussion here about it. Parents need to teach there kids respect of firearms. If it looks like a gun, its a gun. Except mine isnt just going to "sting a little"

while unfortunate, he is breaking his state's law, he won't have a leg to stand on
it does stink, really bad, that they don't have ccw laws

If loose gun laws are good for criminals why do criminals support gun control?

It is sad that it is illegal to defend yourself in certain areas. I am sure the good liberals want to protect the poor criminals.

Certain states just plain suck. Apparently, Wisconson is one of them.

Good for him that he thinks more of his own life than the state obviously does. Too bad he has to go down for it though. If I was rich I'd pay his legal fees, but unfortunately I'm not even close.

Sadly as much as we may think he "did the right thing" the guy broke the law, and now he has to pay the price.

That is the reason this forum is so hard on those few folks that have suggested doing something illegal.

It sucks the delivery guy had to break the law to defend himself.

Maybe his state's laws will be changed if there's enough public outrage that he's being punished for defending himself. It's a bad law and needs fixing.

It is a real shame he had to break the law to defend himself. Hopefully there is enough public support behind this man defending himself against perps. I fear that won't be the case, and he will be made an example by liberals.

    It's a real shame.

If I were him I would carry a folder and some spray. You have to do what you have to do to be safe these days because the truth is, the cops are stretched thin.

Folks, I know we all feel for the Pizza delivery man and hope that things work out for him. But as rstickle has already pointed out, "That is the reason this forum is so hard on those few folks that have suggested doing something illegal." So please be careful what you say in your posts on this thread. For one thing DO NOT include a statement that you would carry illegally or anything that might be construed to mean that. There are several reasons for that. 1) We won't leave the post up long because it suggests doing something illegal. 2) It is not really wise to post an admission like that on an open forum.

    Thanks.

Move from those places that hold the health of violent criminals more highly than the lives of their victims.

    Wisconsin, Illiois, D.C., etc.

Hey, Randy, do you think they would get the message if about 10% of the population up and moved? I have often wondered it a mass exodus by a significant percentage of the population would make politicians see the light as to what the cause is.

From my experience in New Orleans in the mid-90s I would say that the answer is: No. The then Mayor of NO did not see it when a significant portion of his tax base moved. So I doubt that any other politicians would either. The one thing for sure is that if the good guys all move the BGs won't stay there either.
