When that officer is willing to perform his job without his firearms then maybe I will consider his point.

Officers have lost their guns .... when someone gets a drop on them. Other times, it's because they forgot and left them in the bathroom at the local school.

Situational awareness.... but, all things are possible .... maybe someone else had his attention too.
