    NC CC Laws

Dos anyone form NC know if there is any effort going on to lighten up a bit the NC CC laws? Especially regrading no CC in restaurants that serve any amount of alcohol? While visiting Charlotte, we could not even go into a Red Lobster type of restaurant.

There have been a couple threads posted recently where castle doctrine, restaurant carry and parks carry have been introduced and have been submitted to the judiciary committee. Hopefully since the roadblock has been voted out these bills will get passed.

It will happen when the voting public decides that is important.

We have recently gotten rid of some of the major road blocks that have killed that exact bill several years running. Now with new blood in the legislative seats we can only hope that enough people contact the reps and let them know that's what we want.

Too many people feel that voting in some random on line poll is all they need to do instead of going to the trouble to find out who their reps are and call them personally and write them, and that's one major reason why the laws haven't changed yet.

They are working on it. Were you visiting family? And if so, would they be willing to contact their reps and ask for support? Just a thought since your out of state. If it was business, all I can do is ditto what's been said. The effort has started.

We were there on vacation. We were very impressed with Charlotte and are considering retiring there. We may come back for a better look in about six weeks.

I hope they do so soon. Live in SE Va. with family in NE NC and go there a lot (almost evey weekend) shooting hunting or fishing etc... every time we go out to eat the truck has 4 handguns under the seat.... It would be safer to let us keep them..

I live in NC and would love to help get word to our reps. How do I go about contacting them?

If you're a NC registered voter go to North Carolina General Assembly - NCGA - Representation and follow the directions listed for "By Voter Registration" That will get you to the list of your specific reps! Write and call them all and often. If they don't know your name they don't know who they represent.

The link from our Canadian tarheel only gets you the entire list of the house, theres the senate too. Ya need to contact both.
