    Question for members from Tennessee

Over the next few months, I will be spending some time in Tennessee for work purposes. I have a Concealed Weapon Permit from Alabama which I know Tennessee recognizes. My question is, is it lawful to carry concealed in restaurants that serve alcohol as long as I am not drinking? I've read the Tennessee statutes, and know that the state senate and the house passed a resolution making it legal, and that the Governor vetoed the resolution. If I read correctly, the legislature then overrode the veto. Is this correct?
    Thanks for any info.

You are correct. It is now legal to carry as long as you are not consuming alcohol.

Yep. Once we get back we will be going to our favorite restaurant which happens to also sell alcohol, and we will be carrying.

The best part about TN is it is a Hand Gun Carry Permit. meaning that you do not have to conceal. Most do but if the weapon becomes exposed it is not a problem. But you have to watch out for Postings. Not just resaurants but some stores also post. What part of TN are you going to be in?

Old Hickory. We're restarting a plant that has been shut down for about a year and a half. And thanks for the info.
