Holy Cow! Our Permits showed up!!!!
Well, after a long wait, and a screw up by the town clerk who did our paper work, Our permits (wife and I) came in the mail today! I'm surprised and happy that it didn't take as long as I was told it most likely would by the state Police Firearms section.
We are armed again. I feel normal again!

Not quite. But it took long enough that it could have felt like that for sure. Indiana is S-L-O-W. And not just in this. These folks live in a much slower speed than most people.

Congrats, Mike. You must feel like you just had your freedom returned. I'm happy for you both.

Congrats on the permits. Just curious Mike, did you get the 5 year permit, or the lifetime?
Freedom doesn't come free. It is bought and paid for by the lives and blood of our men and women in uniform.

I rather be safe then sorry.
It's better to have it when you need it then need it and dont have it.

That's good news...I know how I would have felt being unarmed.

We went with the 4 year permit. I honestly don't see us living here long enough to see the expiration date. I expect to be back in Tennessee by then.

I feel your pain Bunkie, it took 3 days less than 8 weeks for us to get our permits. of all the states we have lived in and had permits in, this was by far the longest wait for it to be issued and arrive. plus, no way to check the status of your permit application while it is going through the system.
