I rather be safe then sorry.
It's better to have it when you need it then need it and dont have it.
Florida will only honour the permits of residents of the states that have reciprocity with them.
West Virginia used to only recognize resident permits, but now they will honour the non-resident permits of states that have reciprocity.

Anyone can now carry in AZ because AZ is one of the three Constitutional Carry states (along with AK and VT).
Anyone from any of those three states, without a home-state permit, is not going to be welcomed to carry in FL (or any other state that requires resident permits).
VT people get fully screwed because VT residents cannot get a VT permit for any other state to be reciprocal with.
Vermonters can have non-resident permits, but that gets back to the OP's original point with AZ.

FL, CO, ME, NH, SC and MI do not recognize non resident permits.
That is the hypocrisy that is FL. One of...if not the largest...issuer of non-resident permits....doesn't recognize non-resident permits.
It's probably a $$$ thing.
