I enjoy carrying my LCR in my pocket, do it quite often.
I have videos posted of me training with pocket carry and the cons of doing so.... moving while shooting, the holster coming out with the weapon under stress, having to draw before movement because of the way the hip joint flexes.... I carry pocket carry but found some obstacles to overcome in doing so. In force on force when the threat is coming at you, these things are magnified ten fold from my training against stationary target videos....
Nice video. Thanks for sharing.

Good video, with pertinent points for those who wish to try pocket carry.
While I recognize certain benefits of pocket, to me the primary one being a very fast draw if the hand is in the pocket, I don't care for it. I find it slow if the hand is not already in the pocket and I don't care to go around all day looking like I'm playing pocket pool. An additional problem for me is that my primary pant is jeans (Wranglers) which are not conducive to pocket carry. So, while I wish well to those who use it, it is not for me.

I only pocket carry my S&W 442 with my business attire since the pockets are very large and deep, the pocket holster hides the outline of the gun and I cannot conceal carry IWB or OWB. Another time when I choose to pocket carry is when I'm at the beach so I stick the pocket holster with my j frame in my shorts or trunks. Nonetheless, if I have the option of IWB, OWB or pocket, I always choose IWB.

Nonetheless, if I have the option of IWB, OWB or pocket, I always choose IWB. (QUOTE) alachner
+1..... It just feels right from all angles. Comfort, security and accessability. The only pocket carry I do is my Diamondback .380 BUG in a High Noon pocket grabber.

Nice overview. Pocket carry is a viable option for various situations. I've employed it with my j-frame on numerous occasions.

Good video. Thanks for posting. For me pocket carry is the go to method when occasion does not allow for a cover garment. The various tuckables and thunder wear type options are just not viable for me. I think pocket carry is the best compromise of having a gun of sufficient power, having it concealed, and fast deployment, there is, outside of belt carry. It certainly worked for John Wesley Hardin.
Ignorance is a long way from stupid, but left unchecked, can get there real fast.
I happen to have four revolvers that i can pocket carry at any one time... love em. I also carry OWb, IWB, Ankle, and its nice knowing that i have options depending on my clothing. bunker
