P.S. There is also a good article on flashlights and ammo as well.

If you click on the page, it makes the page and print larger. It can take a couple of seconds for the page to render and be very clear to read.

The article on flashlights starting on page 40 was also well worth reading. Thanks for the link.

I should copy it and in the event I get in that tight spot hand it to the LEO as he/she starts the investigation.
One can only hope this sort of thinking spreads.

Citizens who carry concealed should be"described as gun “gurus” not “nuts,” as many are active in the competitive and
defensive shooting disciplines and shoot hundreds or even thousands of rounds monthly. Firearm owners often know the
law on use of deadly force and tactics on par with or better than those in local law enforcement. They may have attended
training academies and classes and are worthy of respect in their own right
, not held in disdain because a local politician,
sheriff or police chief has unjustified reservations about private firearm ownership.

Be worthy of the respect the article says is due you...

Because it's not about the gear, it's about what you can do with it...and the training you take with it.

Thanks for taking the time to share the article.
Very worthwhile... and helpful in strengthening the ties between law-abiding civilians and law enforcement personnel.

Good article, it is a once in a lifetime event I hope I never face. If it does happen I hope the investigator has read the atrticle.

There's More To The Artice Than..

If one reads more into the article "Civilian Involved Defensive Shootings", one can pick up additional read between the lines pro-gun information.

    * Citizens may have more training than the average Cop on a wide range of targets.

    * Firearm owners often know the law on use of deadly force and tactics on par with or better than those in local law enforcement.

    * They life of more than one Patrol Officer and plain clothes investigator have been saved by the intervention of an armed citizen.

    * Etc., etc.

It's too bad the general public isn't able to see/read facts like this. Maybe it would make their acceptance of legally carrying firearms citizens like us more tolerable.
