Looks like Texas and PA are recipiocal states.
TxDPS - CHL Agreements with Other States I think that link will work
I knew they honored eachothers permit but wanted to double check the sign did not apply.
The deputy that stopped me sure had no about the pa permit and made a small deal about the firearm but then said the traveling rule applied so I was good to go.

You rent the room and it is your home. They probably don"t wont you walking around the lobby OCing. I always stay armed in a motel or hotel that is where I have had most of my bad experinces.

Pennsylvania permits are honored in Texas so you're OK. The only two signs you'll need to pay attention to are "30.06" and "51%" signs. They look like this.
30.06 (could be on any business must be this wording and in a conspicuous location by the entrance)
51% (mostly on bars and some restaurants and must be in a conspicuous location by the entrance)"PURSUANT TO SECTION 30.06, PENAL CODE (TRESPASS BY HOLDER OF A LICENSE TO CARRY A CONCEALED HANDGUN) A PERSON LICENSED UNDER SUBCHAPTER H, CHAPTER 411, GOVERNMENT CODE (CONCEALED HANDGUN LAW), MAY NOT ENTER THIS PROPERTY WITH A CONCEALED HANDGUN."
"CONFORME A LA SECCIÓN 30.06 DEL CÔDIGO PENAL (TRASPASAR PORTANDO ARMAS DE FUEGO) PERSONAS CON LICENCIA BAJO DEL SUB-CAPITULO H, CAPITULO 411, CODIGO DE GOBIERNO (LEY DE PORTAR ARMAS), NO DEBEN ENTRAR A ESTA PROPIEDAD PORTANDO UN ARMA DE FUEGO."

If it isn't a valid 30.06 sign, which is pretty darn big if it is valid, the sign means nothing.
Carry on.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.
