I carry a Colt Defender in condition 1. I was always worried that there may not be time when I needed it to rack the slide.

I carry a XD45 one in chamber also a Sig232 back up, one in chamber and in more depth I carry 2 spare mags for my XD. I guess that comes from days as a LEO and working for a international agcy. You have to do what you think is best for you

I Carry Two Different weapons usually not at the same time my glock 23 I have a full mag but have not put one in chamber my 38 special airweight is five rounds double action and always full and ready for both I use quality paddle holsters

I carry a Glock 27 with a Hornady Critical defense in the chamber, my Ruger P90 has a Hornady FPD and the wife's Bersa .380 has Federal Hydra Shocks....so your answer would be yes, yes I do carry with one in the chamber.
I carry either "Condition Zero" partially precocked DA (Kahr PM9 or Glock 19) or "Condition Two" DA/SA de-cocked, no safety (CZ P-01 or HK45c) I don't want to have to worry about hitting or not hitting the safety. Always one in the chamber.

I have always always carried a round chambered. I know the chance of me having to pull my gun out on self defense are slim but If I do, I don't want to be concern with having to chamber a round I'm not leaving anything out to chance.
