Ah, I can understand doing it one or the other, but not switching it back and forth...ya know, that muscle memory thing and how you train
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”

I carry a Colt Defender in condition 1. I was always worried that there may not be time when I needed it to rack the slide.

I was telling my mother about carrying a gun the other day, and she asked, "...and you keep it loaded?"
    "Yes. Ready to go."
"I guess otherwise there's not much point, huh?"
    "Exactly."

Always keep on in the pipe. I just don't see any other way.

I carry a Glock 27 with a Hornady Critical defense in the chamber, my Ruger P90 has a Hornady FPD and the wife's Bersa .380 has Federal Hydra Shocks....so your answer would be yes, yes I do carry with one in the chamber.

I carry either "Condition Zero" partially precocked DA (Kahr PM9 or Glock 19) or "Condition Two" DA/SA de-cocked, no safety (CZ P-01 or HK45c) I don't want to have to worry about hitting or not hitting the safety. Always one in the chamber.

I have always always carried a round chambered. I know the chance of me having to pull my gun out on self defense are slim but If I do, I don't want to be concern with having to chamber a round I'm not leaving anything out to chance.
