I think that they are playing on peoples fears in order to make a profit. For some it might be worth it. Not for me.

The fact that the prices aren't readily available gives me pause.

Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

I need more info than just the video. Given that it appears to be a start-up operation (in the self defense insurance market), I would be a bit concerned there. There are other options that do the same type thing that have been around longer. The Armed Citizens' Legal Defense Network is one such alternative that has been discussed before on this board. The concept is a good idea.

I took exception to the following quote:

When that video cranked up with all that loud, dramatic music, I knew I was in for some world-class BeeEss. I wasn't disappointed.

Fear-mongering, hyperbole, and even that hackneyed, old "better to be tried y twelve..." line was thrown at the viewer in hopes of getting him/her to part with their hard-earned money for some "service" they promise to provide in the future if an infinitesimally small likelihood of an event occurs.

I'll tell you what. I'm a pretty sharp guy. If you send me $10 a month starting this week, I'll come and stick up for you in court if you ever have to use your piece. If course, I'll need to be assured you didn't use your gun recklessly, and that you were purely in a legal, self-defense situation. Depending on where this happens, I'll be charging you for my airfare/gas and any hotel stays required.

I'll send you a piece of paper attesting to this promise once I receive your downpayment of five years paid in advance, and it will remain in force as long as you continue to send me the money.

It isn't a super vitamin that makes you bulletproof? In that case, I think I'll pass.

I'm a member of the Armed Citizen Defense Network which seem to be a more open group. This states the insurance belongs to the USCCA and not to the member(s) and they ONLY pay when your're acquitted. The grant is to pay for fees during the legal action. If you're convicted you owe them for the fees paid.

This is what I get out of the video and their written information.

    I'll take this one, instead.

A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands - love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper - his hands remember the rifle.

I didn't see a cost listed. I am one that believes if you have to ask how much it cost you can not afford it.

I'm getting real tired of their shill-fest, since I signed up for what I understood was a newsletter about concealed carry issues. The last two months I've seen more ads for this guy's brother's new business than actual content, & now this...

They're working us up to it, apparently. Suspense & scare tactics.

This is exactly how I feel. Not at all what I expected when I subscribed.
