Calling all that live in; Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, and Maryland
I have a MI CPL. I'm going to be traveling through the states above and staying in Maryland. Via Handgunlaw.us, I can carry in every state but Maryland. My questions are below for all members that live in those states.
Can I carry hollow points in your state?
Is your state a must inform LEO state?
Is a no gun sign result in a gun crime charge other than a trespassing charge?
Where can't I carry?
And for Maryland members only;
Can I have a gun inside my hotel room?
Can I keep my gun loaded in my hotel room?
Big thanks in advance.

It's really not a good idea to rely on strangers to keep you appraised of legal issues, especially those involving firearms. Do an internet search for each state's gun laws. If it were me I would also print out the pertinent information and carry it with me.

Can I carry hollow points in your state? Most certainly
Is your state a must inform LEO state? No, but if asked, you must inform
Is a no gun sign result in a gun crime charge other than a trespassing charge? Private property owners have the right to deny you access to their property if you have a gun. If a sign is not visibly present, a verbal warning must first be given. A sign acts as the first warning
Where can't I carry? Court facilities, Schools k-12, Casinos, Federal buildings etc.
My responses in bold. More info: For more info: READ FIRST: Where you CAN and CANNOT Carry weapons in the State of Pennsylvania

In Virginia hollow point ammo is legal, it is not a must inform state, carrying where a sign is posted by the owner is a tresspassing offense not a gun law offense (if you refuse to leave when asked). Schools (except to drop off and pick up someone, you must remain in the vehicle), court houses, jails, airport terminals. Handgunlaws.us pretty well covers the places you can't carry.

Ohio
HP's are okay.
Ohio is a must inform state for any time you are speaking to an officer in an official capacity.
No-gun signs carry the weight of law, and are a firearms crime, not just a trespassing citation.
The list of no carry places is kind of long, but off the top of my head, schools, government buildings, churches unless you have the pastor's permission, airports, and ANY place that sells alcohol for consumption ON PREMISES. So any restaurant that has a liquor license is a no-go, and that one is a felony if you violate it. This does not apply to a stop n rob convenience store, since it is not sold for consumption on premises.
You can now carry in rest areas. Loaded gun has to be in a holster, in your person, while in a vehicle.
Here is the AG's CC manual, might be worth 15 minutes to look through: 2009 Concealed Carry Laws Manual

You can find the laws for Maryland under "China and Firearms"...very similar rules.

I live in Ohio, but IANAL - you need to verify everything I say below.

Yes, not a problem - so long as you can carry legally to begin with.

Yes it is.

Gun signs carry the weight of law and there is no uniform signage in type, size or content. I would like to see this changed.

Check out handgunlaw.us - they have a good listing. Understand that while restaurant carry has been passed by the legislature, it has not been signed by the Gov. and will take 90 days to go into effect after it is signed.

WV: HP is OK
LEO inform is not required but heavily recommended at least in a traffic stop. I work closely with LEO and am quasi LEO
I have been from one end of the state to the other and have seen very few no gun signs, I am covered under LEOSA
I dont pay attention to them often.
No carry on any government or school properties. Open Carry is legal, as long as you are "on foot and engaged in legal activity"
