Local Waffle House IS Posted. NO FIREARMS

Well, I went to the local Waffle House today and parked right in front of this sign.

    IMG_0373.jpg

I CC'd right on in, anyways (I'm in GA), and noticed on their front door that they have a big American flag poster that reads "America's Place to Work, America's Place to Eat." Guess they forgot that whole part of America that is the second amendment to the constitution. These signs aren't near the front doors. they are on the side of the building in front of the parking lot.

Guess they didn't pay much attention to this news article at my local waffle house, either... Open carry deters armed robbery in Kennesaw - Atlanta gun rights | Examiner.com

I am going to write this establishment, and I urge anyone who reads this to do the same. Any restaurant claiming to be an "All American" establishment had better adhere to the basic rights of our country, or ditch their dishonest slogan. I think this has been discussed before, but this is the first one that I have seen posted in my area. I'll have to check the others when I drive by to see if this is now common practice for all waho establishments.

There was a video on the forum a while ago of a Waffle House getting robbed by 2 or 3 armed men. Too bad they did not have that sign.

Good thing it's just the lot they're worried about.

That's how I read the sign also.

That sign is on every Waffle House I've been to since I started carrying. I haven't let it bother me.
The preceding post may contain sarcasm; it's just better that way. However, it is still intended with construction and with the Love of my L-rd Y'shua.

The way I read it, you must have alcohol AND firearms to be prohibited; that sorta makes sense, but only in the parking lot.

Since signs have the force of law in North Carolina I will honor Waffle House’s wishs and take my money elsewhere, besides I prefer IHOP.

Curious. It mentions what happens if you are not authorized to park there, but not what happens if you are found with alcohol and firearms.
Is it January 20, 2013 yet?

Waffle House is one of the favorite places for BG's to rob lately too. I guess protecting the parking lot is a good idea.

I avoid giving money to stores that post like this.

Note though: It is totally "American" for the Waffle House, a private corporation/LLC/entity, to have a different opinion than myself and to post that sign.

I think it means that particular parking space it is in front of...kind of like a handicap parking sign designates that space.

I think so many of these establishments put the signs there for CYA reasons. For example, if somebody comes in there and shoots up the place, a customer might sue saying that Waffle House allowed the guns on the premises. Or at least that is probably what they are thinking. Its a pity they don't look at the big picture.

The only warning sign Waffle House needs to post is :

Warning: Eat Here at Your Own Risk!"

Individuals with any measure of taste would eat elsewhere, thus saving thousands of lives.
