    USCCA

Hope this is the right place to post this? Anyone a member of the United States Concealed Carry Association? They were there early yesterday and now completely disappeared from the web. I wonder how that happened. None of their many web links work?

Yes, I am a member of USCCA. I know they were having issues with people logging on, (I did too) and they were working on it.

They are up for me: USConcealedCarry.com | Concealed Carry Information

Now, if they'd just tone down the daily advertisement emails.....

Well that's easy. Hit the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email. They are just trying to sell you snake oil anyway.

I'm rather new to CCW and handguns. I've joined the NRA and considered joining USCCA. I would appreciate thoughts on why one should join and at what level? I'm a disabled vet so cost is a consideration.

BTW I just tried to access their site and it still has some issues.

I thought about joining, but what for?

I can get a lot of the same info here, at a much reduced price

Plus, the marketing plots got to me. I didn't want all of the 'free' useless stuff, I just wanted a reduced membership fee.$50 seems a bit high.

SAF (Second Amendment Foundation) and GOA (Gun Owners of America) would be better choices, in my opinion. There is really nothing at USCCA that can't be found through other sources and at a much lower price and often for free as in this forum and others. I joined USCCA not long after it started thinking it might provide additional insight into concealed carry. Since then it's been one marketing push after another. Their magazine is worth the read but not for the price of admission. I will not be renewing my membership.

I was a moderator over at their forum, but I left because I just could not give tacit endorsement to their constant marketing. There were also some things that seemed a bit unethical to me - so I quit. I can get as much info here, and at other forums, for free.

I made the mistake of signing up for USCCA's "free" online publication while considering membership. Wow! I never received spam at that rate before! No legitimate business or association needs to spam its subscribers daily, even multiple times daily, with doom, gloom, and horror stories while pushing their services. I unsubscribed after a few days with no let up in the spam. CCRKBA, SAF, GOA, and VCDL are all much better choices. If you want the legal aspect, then Armed Citizens' Legal Defense Network provides good coverage for less money and no spam.

I'm a member. I basically paid for the magazine and a ton of marketing trash. I will not be renewing.
