Cataloged all the guns and their serial numbers tonight

Well, I finally sat down and did something I have been meaning to do for a long, long time now. I actually photographed all my guns tonight.

I have had a record of the serial numbers for ever. Since I bought my first gun in fact. I have a note book, in a safety deposit box along with other important non replaceable documents, that has all the serial numbers, models and makes recorded in it. Every time I buy a new gun, I go and add it to the notebook.

But, I have been wanting to actually use the digital camera and photograph the guns so there is a photographic record of them in case of theft or fire or something else I have not thought of.

I feel better now. I have the photos stored on a flash drive that I will also place in the safety deposit box. Flash drives are so darn cheap now, there is no excuse not to buy one to store inportant info on.

Anyway, I thought I would share that and maybe try to post a few of the better pics. I have some of my everyday carry gear. I will show you all my stuff if you will show us yours>

The SIG P239 is my wife's carry gun. God I love that woman.

    Good move!!! Nice assortment

I started doing this a while ago as numbers got vaguely ''silly''

I use my pics for forum display but also - have copies of each also with SN added. That set is archived.

I also keep in my safe a printed inventory - with SN's and approx estimated market values - so that if I am gone someone has an idea of worth.

If you want a review of most of my handguns go grab this vid of pics (5.8Mb). It is easier than trying to post a bunch of pics altogether!! One has been traded and IIRC two added since then.

I have yet to do same with longarms!

I did this awhile back, and it took longer than I thought it would. Im glad I got all the S/N though...that is pretty much the only way you would have any hope of recovering anyhting that gets stolen.

Then I got carried away, and did the TV, computer.........

Nice collection. I knew the digital camera had a purpose in life.
