Crazy phone call just now.
My family and I went to Branson Missouri this past weekend. I checked out of my room on Wednesday morning. I just get a phone call from the police department down there asking me if I left anything behind in any drawers. I told no not that I know of. Then they asked me if I own a hand gun. I say yes. They ask do you have it. I say yes. He asked "Are you sure?" I say yes. I ask why. He then tells me they have found a handgun in the room I was staying in. I asked him What kind of hand gun is it. He then tells me it was a Glock. I tell I am a licensed person to carry, but I don't own a Glock. I told him I own a S&W Bodyguard .380. He say "OK sorry to bother you." He says that he as not called the people that stayed in that room before me, so I guess that gun was in there the whole time. I sure hope the person that gun belongs to is licensed to carry. I would hate to drive all the way back to get that gun from the police department. Just thought it was a crazy story thought you guys would like to know. So next time you stay out of town check to drawer in the room you might just find a gun. For me I don't use the drawers so I did not even know it was there. Crazy.

Glad it worked out for you and it wasn't yours.
As you, I'd likely never see anything left behind in a draw. I don't use them.
Side note, Branson isn't my cup of tea. Just way too much traffic and too hard to get around. I do like SW MO though.

Wow, that is wierd. I often stay in motels/hotels because work takes me out of town these days, I can't imagine leaving my handgun behind. Anyway, this story will be a lesson for me, not only to check the drawers when I check in but also when I check out.
You don't own a Glock??
Stop whining and go make a difference!
If you think that I may be talking to you, then I am.

The most interesting and worst part of the story is that...YOU DON'T OWN A GLOCK?

Having worked 15 years in hotel management, you'd be amazed what people leave behind...
Guns, drugs, porn, large amounts of cash.
Quite amazing, really.

In the future I'm gonna have to start searching my room like it's a crime scene before I leave, just in case somebody left me a parting gift

Note to self, look in all drawers and safe of room, perhaps there is money.
