Chris, I like how most of your responses were in the form of a question.... giving them pause to think and also to put the questioner on the defensive rather than the gun owner.
Well done!
Good job Chris...
You may have planted a little seed into his thought process.
That seed may one day grow and prosper into another PRO-GUN VOTER.

Nice job Chris. Put the facts out there and let them make their own mind up about them.![]()

RSSZ - I am very much with you on open carry - but I have exceptions and they are few. Home and own property is one - this time of year open.
The flying club is I think the only other exception (oh and gun clubs) - and it is because the few guys there (note, VERY small membership right now) - are people I have known for ages - they are old friends and sufficiently gun oriented to never have any problem with it. Thus my rule of ''family and friends'' as a limit factor is still really pretty much applied.
If someone turns up as a friend of the others I am afraid I am not going to cover up specially and it is the one occasion where they just have to handle it. We have had odd occasions when weather prevented flying and we broke out the odd .22 and pop bottles to have some fun! Flying site is out in the sticks pretty much - very informal.
As I implied in original post - the guy was a rational and pleasant sort - not aggressive at all - thus the reason I spent the small amount of time trying to ''adjust'' his way of thinking! It seemed to have some degree of success.
I forgot to add originally too - he has an open invite to come to the range with me sometime.![]()
