I carry 2 mags. As was stated earlier I also have a double mag pouch and feel it would be an awful shame to have an empty slot.

Really depends on wether I'm on the job or not.

I don't have as much risk away from the job, so, usually just 1 extra there, in case murphy tries to have his way with me again....

On the job, usually 2 mags per firearm on me (Generally, I carry 2 at work, Or, if just one firearm on me, 3-4 mags), and at least 3-4 more for each in the vehicle (That's more a symptom of 'hey, you wanna go to the range?'-itis, however). Sadly, if there's a revolver in the equation, I don't carry any extras for that. Neither of us can get speed strips to work well, and, I don't care for the size of the speedloaders. Maybe in the glovebox, but, I don't carry the revolver often. And when I do, it's usually the BUG...

I always have one spare mag on me. It's good practice, in case of mag. failure in the gun( ie baseplate failure) or double feed.

I carry my BHP with 15+1. If I'm heading into a place that I consider to be a high-risk area then I'll stick the 5-shot snub in a pocket, as well.

So I guess I have the New York reload option if needed.

Hand loads in a carry weapon? Only if they could prove themselves reliable over thousands of rounds. If so, then two spares at minimum.

Anyone have problems with their spares trying to jab them in the ribs?
I haven't seen my ribs in quite some time.

Put me down for one mag or speedloader always. I seeme to keep winding up in circumstances that ain't supposed to happen!

1 spare magazine fully loaded to capacity in conjunction with the mag in the weapon...+1 in the pipe. Occasionally 2 fully loaded spare mags.

I normally have my G26 with Pearce extension fully loaded, plus one spare mag in my left pocket. Seems silly not to have it along; it isn't like it weighs me down or anything.

Without going into too much detail about why I don't want to get made at work; they print to much under my work clothes(business dress suits) so I don't carry but one in butt when working. I carry two when not working.
