My only surprise is that there have not been more attacks like this.
The more good folks carry guns, the fewer shots the crazies can get off.

Very good! Most of us at DC "get it", and are at least a little bit better prepared than the majority of our countrymen. It will probably be the American citizen that stops the majority of any attacks in the future. As it will be aimed at them, and thank goodness, they are arming themselves in greater numbers daily.

Yes more and more people are arming themselves, if only the PC would let them stay armed at all times. Why was not every man and women on that base not armed? And because of PC they are still unarmed.

There were armed men and women on the base. MP's and DOA civilian police. Unfortunately like civilian police departments, they can't be every place.

By PC I am assuming you mean politically correct. The prohibition of personal weapons on base is not anything new. The regulations were in place when I first joined the military in 1970. The regulations are not going to be changed over 1 incident. Remember, the military operates under different rules than what the civilian world does, as a military member you live under 2 sets of laws. The same laws the civilian world abides by as well as the UCMJ.
Freedom doesn't come free. It is bought and paid for by the lives and blood of our men and women in uniform.
