Can you explain what happens on 9/21/06? I don't think I've heard about this before?

Sweet. Now when we finally move from CO to SD it's all good.
BTW, for those of you that have never been to South Dakota, it's an awesome place to visit. I especially like the fact that there's a bazillion miles of forest service roads to ride the ATV's on and lots of places to shoot. :D We're going to build our second place up there next year.......

    Been waiting for this.

Having lived a large part of my life in Yuma, and Prescott/PV, Arizona, and being back in South Dakota, near where I grew up....this is GREAT

Arizona Legislature passed a new law that states they will honor all other states permits. The law goes into effect 90 days after the legislature term ended. That date is 9/21/06.

Well I'll admit I hadn't kept up with this legislation, but that is fantastic. My in-laws live near Tucson, and we fly out there every year. Now that I can CCW there (starting in September) I feel much better.

Which are the states that do this? I know mine (Oklahoma) does, as does Missouri. Looks like maybe Idaho and Utah but I'm not sure about those.

To me, this is the way to go, if we can get everyone on board. MUCH better than some national CCW (which I think is a very bad idea...)

Looks like we agree. "Run by the states like a DL"; I think this is most closely simulated by having all states recognize every other states' permit. As for the fed gov running a national CCW, I have some choice four letter words for that idea.

So do you know if HB 2740 passed? That was the amendment that would allow firearms in restaurants.
