Lazy state not so lazy this time!
I submitted my CCL application to the Louisiana State Police Headquarters on Wed, Aug 31 (21st birthday). I recieved the permit in the mail on Monday, September 12 and it was issued/shipped on Thursday, Sep 8. 8 days is as fast as I have heard anywhere, ever. Props to Louisiana. I had a spotless record and did the digital fingerprints. I figure both of those had a good bit to do with it. Ive been trying to break in a supertuck style holster around the house for quite a while so there was really no comfort problems transitioning into regular carry at all. I would definately recommend to any new carriers to work out all the kinks at the house and get comfortable a month or so before you're expecting your permit. It has made things very smooth.
