Unfortunately I cannot carry at work or even have a weapon in my car.

During the week and at home I rely on my dogs and motion detector lighting as my early warning system. And all the doors and windows have additional security locks on them.

On the weekend, I am normally armed while awake and it's on the bed stand at night.

Just my everyday routine: wake up strap on my gun. It does not come off till I go to bed.

Everywhere it is allowed for me to carry and especially while at home. I have my S&W Bodyguard 380 on me at all times and my M&P 45 when I feel it is necessary.

I'm not too paranoid, I just keep a little pocket 22 auto on me at all times and a hi-cap nine on the nightstand.

For the shower, I carry my pistol in a plannerbook holster.

The way I look at it, you can carry your weapon for the rest of your life and never need it and be perfectly fine. You may only need it once and not have it and never get another chance. Its better to be safe than sorry.

    I can't carry at work.
I pick my kids up from daycare (another no gun zone).

Once I'm home I don't feel like strapping on a gun most of the time, but on the weekends I typically carry all the time.
Is that because the bad guys only carry on weekends too?

When I get dressed in the morning, the gun goes in its holster and that's where it stays all day long. I don't have to remember to pick it up, or worry about finding a safe place to set it down, or risk getting caught without it because I decided I didn't need it for the 10 seconds it takes me to put the kitchen trash in the garage. It's there. It's always there. And for me (your situation may be different) there's no good reason to fuss with developing a laundry list of habits about when I'll wear it and when I won't. This allows my limited brain to devote more resources to situational awareness.

I carry at all times possible. I wear my gun all evening. I mainly do it out of due dilegence.

I carry ALL the time, period.

When at home, I carry the same way I do when I'm not at home (IWB), and at night I have my AR nearby. Intruders can plan on taking a few rounds of 5.56 Mk318 Mod-0 to COM...
