The people in Ohio already voted-they elected a legsilature and govenor that support the Second Amendment. That was the poll that really mattered. With a headline like that of course the antis come out.

Majority rule only works if you're also considering individual rights. Because you can't have five wolves and one sheep voting on what to have for supper.

I just voted. It is 702 against, 464 for. Doesn't surprise me coming from a Cincinnati paper. Cleveland, Columbus, and Cincinnati are all "liberal" cities. The state legislature and the governor are what count though, not the flaming liberal anti-gun press who expect the streets to run red with blood on Friday!

Its now 898 to 640 favoring against. I am personally welcoming this change. The wife and I both have family in Ohio and we will undoubtedly be armed when we travel. We often times go out to eat while we are there too. I wish more states would take a cue from Ohio here.

Just remember that the law allows licensed CCW in the establishment but you cannot consume any amount of alcohol while carrying in Ohio. None, zip, zero, nada!

Gannett also owns my hometown newspaper. In fact, I was able to log on to the forum using my local userid. That publisher invariably presents a very anti-gun bias.

Ok, so now I voted from home too. It is now 1138 yes to 988 no. I should be sneaking and use other IP addresses, go through TOR and other things to obfuscate my origins

Here, same stuff went on..... the "oh my ... " stuff. We can carry in any bar , restaurant, etc. and you can have a drink, you just can't be drunk, under the influence, etc. while carrying.... and agree by carrying to any test for blood alcohol level that are reasonable.
Law - abiding citizens, especially those that take the responsiblity seriously, aren't going to suddenly become raving drunk lunatics and shooting up the bars.
All has been quiet here the last 2-3 yrs since they passed it. No issues, no problems, no lunatics.
Congratulations that your Legislature went by the facts, rather than the fear mongers.
