Yes. In Nebraska any sign that prohibits concealed weapons counts. The sign could be written in crayon by a second grader and it would count. Nebraska has no legal requirements for our gun buster signs so it makes it a real hassle to look out for the signs.

I had the same reaction when the "No Self Defense Allowed" signs came off the door to the AMC movie theatre by my house - I strolled right on in, happy as a clam - til I realized what had happened.
The door to the theatre also admitted people to the mall the theatre was part of. Somebody must've complained that AMC was implying you couldn't enter the MALL with a gun either. So AMC took the signs off the door they shared with the mall, and hung BIGGER signs over the ticket windows!
Oh well... I was happy for a little while...

So your employer doesn't have an anti-gun policy?

Either the painters are coming or there will be a new page in your SOP book.

I am from Omaha myself and am glad to hear some signs are going away for sure! I feel like we have several "no-no zones here". Although, when I went through my CCW class my instructor said that it had to be the proper signage to be a "no no zone". I thought we could enter buildings that just had a random sign...

My understanding is that we here in Nebraska have no legislated mandate for uniform or required wording signs.

And hopefully its not just painters coming in or something of the sort. Its Wednesday now and.still no signs.
