Trip to N.C.
Well this weekend I will be heading to NC to visit family for a couple of weeks. I have read the firearm laws for NC and have made myself familiar with them. I really only have one question in referance to these laws and that is; NC law prohibits any person carrying a gun, rifle or pistol into any establishment where alcoholic beverages are both sold and consumed. Now, I know in a lot of other states alcoholic beverages are sold in convience stores, gorecery stores and such but my understanding of this portion of NC law these type places are not included in this only places such as resturants and bars. Am I correct on this?
NC is certainly more stricit with their CCW and firearm laws than PA.

NC has more restrictions that you can shake a stick at. Some NC people have even questioned the value of a CCW.
I'll be there this weekend.

Yeah, I couldn't believe how many restrictions NC has, my wife even said why even take and carry while we're there. To bad I can't carry through the other states we'll be traveling through.

Hello, from NC...yes places where alcohol is consumed and sold is off limits. You are ok, in grocery stores, convinient etc...unless a no CCW sign is posted. However, no grocery store I have seen have these signs. I don't think our laws are too bad.

From NC as well. We have some pretty restrictive carry laws, better than some, worse than others. We are in process of trying to get the most restrictive ones changed, starting with the one regarding alcohol.
