Not a problem where I live, thankfully. Somehow, those that live in states with CC rules like no carry allowed if admission is charged need to work on getting them changed.
As the orignal poster stated earlier, this fair is located in GA so it doesn't matter how it's done in UT, you follow the laws of the state your carrying in. I think most states where the laws governing concealed carry are dated have residents that are actively trying to get changes made. I know we've had bills every year for several years trying to get the changes like admission charges negate concealed carry. It's an ongoing battle.
I was digging through my iPhone last night and came across this picture I took at our county fair. If you ever wondered if the people working these rides where qualified, now you know they aren't. I laughed pretty good at this one.
Since the county fairgrounds here in Gwinnett County sponsors Gun Shows, and I have seen similar questions posted about the county fairgrounds, I think (emphasis on THINK) you would be okay. Signs in Georgia carry no weight of law, but you MUST leave if asked, or be liable for trespass violations.
You might even want to contact the Fair Manager's office in Augusta, or just watch for the signs at the entrance.

Went to SC State fair Saturday night. Of course I couldn't carry- even a pocket knife- which made me a little nervous. No bad experiences other than my back acting up so I couldn't walk around much, but all the 'thug types' there made me feel a little twitchy. Especially since I was wearing my 'riding' clothes- jeans, boots, black t-shirt and leather vest. Which got me quite a few odd looks.
All in all, it was alright. Just wish I could have been able to walk around and enjoy it more.
Attended the GA national fair in Perrry last night. No one checking the gates, so sure CC carry is fone plenty of LEOs present from all organizations fromloacal to GBI
