    Traveling to Florida

    My wife and I will be traveling from Virginia to Florida by car in November. We will be carrying while staying in Florida. I would love some advice from residents and others who have traveled there about proper concealed carry and things to watch out for. I am about 5'10 230lbs, and wife is about 5'4 170lbs. Out of my handgun list, any suggestions as to what we should carry??? Thanks for any advice!!!

    Look's like you have plenty to choose from. Also it is best to check Florida laws as well as the other states you be traveling. Check www.handgunlaws.us

    I'd carry what you are best with and can conceal comfortably while site seeing or whatever you expect to do in Florida.

    Florida = Gun friendly!

    Make sure Fla. recognizes your CCW (I'm sure they do).

    Fla. is one of the most CCW friendly states in the country.

    And of course the state just past the Stand Your Ground Law
    (so you don't have to get shot in the back while running away now)

    You do not have to notify local law enforcement (if pulled over)
    unless you want to out of courtesy.

    And there are NO "No CCW" signs to worry about.

    Fla. in Nov. Weather is beginning to cool with less humidity
    so that should not be a concern as far as your carry piece.

    For all the definate do's and dont's
    look up Florida Dept. of Agriculture for all compliance laws.
    (they handle CCW license here)

    Hope that helps
