That would be an excellent business opportunity, once you hurdle the start up costs.
I have not found one in Door Co. In Brown Co. the only indoor range I could find information on is not open yet, here is a link: Family Shooting Academy

If anyone know of others, please let us know.

I just started this new thread if interested:

Wisconsin members looking for a CC class to obtain Utah/Florida permits
I carry to protect myself and my loved ones from the BG's. Not to solve societies problems. That said: if more carried the deterrent would only have a positive overall effect on those problems.

That is also why the legislators added section 17(ar) to Act 35...

"(ar) Any law enforcement officer who uses excessive
force based solely on an individual’s status as a licensee
may be fined not more than $500 or sentenced to a term
of imprisonment of not more than 30 days or both. The
application of the criminal penalty under this paragraph
does not preclude the application of any other civil or
    criminal remedy."

I'd be interested to know if a LEO that strong arms a licensee that chose to OC in the fashion prescribed by the Madison Chief would be exposed to this penalty(assuming the DA would prosecute)?

I think they are changing theire tune pretty quick after being sued and loosing ten grand to the culvers 5. The law clearly states open carry by itself is not eveb grounds to be questioned if u are stopped for simply oc u do not even need to show id. It is a violation of your fourth amendment rights.

Worthless as the DA's and courts in Dane county have stated they are not bound to prosecute and will not. And they have already proven that.

    Big News - teaser

Breaking news. Just heard on the local radio station that the DOJ is expecting that it will not be able to comply with their processing time mandate.

Been lurking for a long time, but this "breaking news" prompted me to post. Precious!

Sent my package on 11/15. Check cashed 11/25. Still waiting. Hopefully, tomorrow or Wednesday.

Happy New Year all. Keep safe!

I'm shocked, horrified, and was totally unprepared tor this sort of information from Wisconsin's highest level of law enforcement. ----NOT

No change of tune. The fine was paid by the tax payers not the officers. And they suffered nothing for their action at all. Da's and police Chief laughed it off as no big deal told office to keep up the good work.

In Brown County there is the DePere Sportsmen’s Club. They have limits on what you can use for ammo though. You can't use any jacketed bullets that exceed 800 fps because of their backstop construction. Also it is a member's only club I believe and a current member has to sponsor you for you to become a member. Never been there myself. Just aware of it.

    From the website:

    Range:
The range has 15 shooting lanes each 25 yards long!
The target retrieval system is custom made for us ... best of breed stuff!
The range can handle not only any handgun, but rifles up to .308!
    We have rentals!

WOW! Rifles up to .308. The indoor ranges I have been to in this state allow you to use a 9MM carbine but nothing like a .223 or higher. That would be cool to take an AR there in the dead of winter.

And that's over and above what we are already paying in taxes towards salaries & benefits.

So your saying madison is willingly opening itself up to lawsuits they know they will loose? I doubt it. My buddy is oc right now in madison and he has is ccw. We need more people to do that to raise awareness.
